The Design
GLG was connected with junior-level interior design students in the Exhibition and Merchandising Studio course at RIT taught by Kelly Jahn, RIT lecturer and interior architect. The course of a dozen students developed their own unique take on what this new gaming lounge should look like. Throughout the article you will see various designs of the different locations throughout the facility, each with their own renditions and inspirations. These different designs will be brought together to create a final design yet to be released.

The Journey
GLG was founded to bring a renewed sense of professionalism and trust to the competitive gaming scene. Over the past year, owners Ben Garvey and Harry McCardell have been leading one of the most talented esport production crews to bring high quality content to the amateur scene.
It started in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with the Tuesday Night League. A 2v2 weekly tournament that was GLG’s first entrance into the online tournament world in April 2020. The first event barely gathered 8 teams. Now, over a year later GLG is running weekly tournaments in Valorant with over 64 teams participating each tournament.

A Special Thanks
We would like to give a special thank you to Evan Gallina, Kelly Jahn, the interior design students in the Exhibition and Merchandising Studio, and our advisory board for all their support and dedication throughout this process! It’s been surreal seeing our ideas coming together since GLG was founded out of a dorm room two years ago!
